While handheld infrared thermometers are a great way to read temperature (even body temperature) you can’t rely on this alone as a source of whether someone is infected or not – as many factors could affect the body temperature of the person in question.

how much accurate is thermometer under the sun?
Hi Jenifer, thermometers are not recommended to be used under the sun because body temperature could be altered. That’s why we advice to allow the employee to get used to the temperature in the room before taking their body temperature.
